Beth Wagers MSW, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker who works with children, adolescents, and adults using motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy. Beth has experience working with individuals and families experiencing difficulties related to boundaries, communication, anger, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Beth started her career in social work in Indiana and recently relocated to the Triangle area. Beth received her bachelor’s degree in social work at Anderson University in Anderson, IN, and her master’s in social work (MSW) from Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN. Before pursuing her master’s degree, Beth worked as a forensic interviewer and victim advocate at a child advocacy center, interviewing over 500 survivors of abuse and neglect between ages 3-18. Beth completed her master’s level internship at a community mental health center and worked primarily within their substance use program. After receiving her master’s degree, Beth continued to work in community mental health, providing intensive home- and community-based therapy for individuals and families within the child protective and juvenile justice systems. Beth is trained in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and is passionate about working with children and adolescents who have experienced traumatic events. Beth enjoys working with clients collaboratively and empowering them to reach their goals.
