Kristi Komelasky completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia, double majoring in psychology and religion. Her graduate work was completed at George Mason University, in Fairfax, Virginia. Kristi spent the first 12 years of her career working in school systems in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and North Carolina. She has worked in charter, private, parochial, and public schools, helping to identify and support children with disabilities. She has also provided behavioral intervention and support to children with high emotional needs. Kristi has extensive knowledge of the special education process in the school system and has worked on interdisciplinary teams that include teachers, administrators, social workers, speech language pathologists, and occupational therapists. She has completed evaluations of all types including gifted assessment, autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, behavioral and emotional disabilities, and intellectual disabilities.
